Nutrition: low carb vs. low fat diet

At the clinic, we always have the same question that come up. Which diet is better: low fat or low carb.

As everyone is different and may required different needs, it's best to consult with a certified dietitian when making changes to your diet, when trying to manage diabetes or when trying to lose weight.

A dietitian can help you ensure that you are getting the proper nutrients from your foods, which certain restrictive diets may make difficult. A dietitian can also monitor your health and weight loss journey to make sure that it is safe, efficient and sustainable for you.

In the video below, our dietitian Johnie Ting explains his professional opinion on theses two types of diets and speaks about intermittent fasting.
